11. Remove lower control arms.
13. Remove OEM rear crossmember and discard.
14. Disconnect front drive shaft from front differential & disconnect vent hose from differential.
15. Remove front differential.
Here's a shot of the front differential after it's out of the truck.
Here the crossmembers are removed and the front diff has come out.
This is the driver's side front differential front mount. It's gettin'
hacked. Point of no return.
Front differential driver's side rear mount. It's gettin' hacked also.
Here are the two mounts in relation to each other.
16. Cut a 4.5" x 2" section from the OEM differential mount next to the driver side rear lower control arm pocket.
17. Cut 1" off the end of the driver side front differential mount.
Front mount after 10 minutes with a die grinder:
Rear mount after a few minutes with the grinder... Giving the compressor a chance to catch up.
Rear mount hacked.
