18. Install new front crossmember to OEM front lower control arm pockets.
19. Reinstall the front differential back into the
truck. Use a heavy duty ratchet
strap to support the rear of the differential as high as possible
Here's the new front crossmember. The diff is ready to go back in.
Almost lined up
The instructions say to use a ratchet strap to lift the rear of the front
differential so the new rear crossmember can slide in underneath it.
Of course I'm too smart for that... So I ran into this problem - the new
rear crossmember can't fit with the wood blocks.
Zip Ties to the rescue!
Angled up about as far as it can be.
20. Install new rear crossmember. Attache to OEM lower control arm pockets.
21. Lower the rear of the front differential down into the rear mount of the new rear crossmember.
22. Install new diff skid plate.
23. Install lower control arms. Attach to new crossmembers.
Here the rear crossmember and diff skid plate are installed, and the diff is secure.
